Examination and Diagnostics
Once your pet is brought into an exam area, one of our emergency veterinarians will perform a thorough evaluation. Based on your pet’s condition, we may recommend diagnostic testing to better understand what is happening.
This may include:
- Bloodwork using our in-house laboratory
- Digital X-rays or ultrasound imaging
- Additional monitoring or specialized testing
Our team will explain what we’re seeing, what we recommend, and why each step matters.
Treatment and Ongoing Care
After we have a clearer picture of your pet’s condition, we will discuss treatment options with you. In emergency situations, care may begin immediately to stabilize your pet.
Treatment may include:
- Oxygen therapy or IV fluids
- Pain management
- Emergency surgery if needed
- Hospitalization and ICU monitoring
Communication and Decisions
Clear, honest communication is a priority for our team. We will walk you through findings, answer your questions, and help you make informed decisions about your pet’s care.
If your pet requires ongoing hospitalization, we will provide updates and discuss next steps as their condition evolves.
Transitioning Back to Your Primary Veterinarian
Once your pet is stable and ready to go home or continue care with your regular veterinarian, we will coordinate that transition. We provide detailed records so your primary vet can continue treatment seamlessly.
